Posted: 10/18/09 at 9:54pmSince they are just now saying who the actors will be that will play Raoul and Madame Giry in Love Never Dies, who was on the original cast recording? The boy's auditions for Christine's son was only today and the recording was made this past summer... IS CONFUSED!

I'd consider it more like a 'studio cast' recording. ALW had something like a 70 piece orchestra or something? This is a bit more sophisticated than a 'demo recording'.

The Concept album was recorded a year ago and has been SUBSTANTIALLY rewritten, some say by as much as 70% since then. John Barrowman plays Raoul in that. The recording that comes out after opening is actually with a 100 piece orchestra and reflects the show of, at least, the first preview. Who knows how much, if anything, will change after that.
