#1Not your average Movie Review for Mamma Mia!

Most of you know by now I really want this movie to succeed. Well it has, even though it hasn't been released in Theaters in USA. The Winner Takes it All!!!!!!!!

Hairspray, Grease, Rent, Chicago all Opened with big numbers which for a majority of an audience, the movie pulled them in right away. With Mamma Mia, it starts off very delicately. YES I am an ABBA fan, Yes I have contributed at least $400 to the 2 Billion the Musical has grossed. I have contributed at least 8 Albums to the 350,000,000 of ABBA albums sold. This movie I really do admit, touched the spot. I know the ABBA Legacy is far from Ending.

The story itself, the writer, calls an EPIC. By no means is the story (plot) epic. The Story of the Music, IS!
First there was ABBA, Then the Mamma Mia Musical, Now the Movie....

Now I can't brag i was alive in the 70's as an ABBA Fan, but I am thankful that this EVENT in Music history took place in the time I find most difficult for me. This has revolutionized the way not (POP) (Rock) (Disco), but the way Happiness was meant to embrace an individual, a family, a community, the nation, The WORLD.

Sigourney Weaver, Tom Hanks, Bono, The Rolling Stones, Kathie Lee Gifford, Madonna, John McCain, Elton John, Tim Rice, The Queen of England, Meryl Streep, and the Millions, perhaps Billions of people in our world. Is enough to sum up that ABBA has done one of the hardest things even the Pope can't achieve.

ACTUAL MOVIE REVIEW
----------------------------------
It starts off kinda slow. But obviously picks up ASAP. Meryl Streep was a Golden Star for this movie. Even though many of the characters were portrayed as drunk some of the time. They pulled it off. Amanda Seyfried (who graduated in my hometown) played an Excellent Sophie. I have seen 2 before on Broadway. I have heard, and now realize when people say Pierce's singing is atrocious. It may be but the chemistry between the characters were on spot. I couldn't even hear most of the singing cause I was singing myself. Some great one liners though.

The US rating is PG-13 which I thought was gonna make the movie tacky with the alcohol and sexual references. Although it was risque for young children. It wouldn't make it realistic. All those Musical Movies in the past few years do not depict there current time presence. (Besides Rent in a way) Hungry Hungry Single people are clearly seen in the movie. It is necessary for the ages of the characters in the film. They lust for passion and fun. Certainly it depicts our reality now. Some gey references are made as the people who have seen the show know. It is by no means over the top..... Until you don't care about reality or not and JUST HAVING SOME GOOD OL Fun

As a Movie I wouldn't be surprised if Ebert and Roeper gave 1 thumb up and 1 down. But just as what it is, it ranks higher than most recent musicals. I would have like to seen more tears from Meryl in a certain song which I would tear up as well. But its not what you have lost, But what you have NOW.

My suggestion is this is a movie to see. Before a date, During a date, After a date. Before a wedding, After a Wedding. This 1hr. and 40. Min film is a Instant Prozac for the day. You will be humming and tapping your feet. There are songs stronger than others but all the songs are so carefully placed where you don't want to skip a scene. I have follwed the works of ABBA almost like a religion. Maybe it hit me in some places where it won't hit others. But give it a try, and sure you can hate it. But I would like a good reason why.....

As A movie I clearly accept 3 to 4 stars. As a Experience Priceless!!!

I am hoping I can catch a few pictures of the cast and Benny and Bjorn at the NYC Premiere.

I Love God and an alternative name for God is of course ABBA

I always thought the alternate name for God was Allah, but that could be my mistake.

Well, sorry Yankee and Bundy, but an alternative name for God is Meryl Streep re: Not your average Movie Review for Mamma Mia!
I can't believe MAMMA MIA is PG-13, that's sort of laughable.

Just let's hope the Box Office doesn't let us down like Boeing went down on him. *wink Wink*
