It played Vegas albeit somewhat briefly.
It wouldn't have found success here. Like most French musicals, it was pretty much a pageant/rock concert with prerecorded music and backing vocals and every singer wearing an enormous cheek mic!
Butters, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you.

Netflix has it if you want to see it. I really enjoyed it so much that I purchased a copy of the DVD and CD on eBay. Also found the English CD of the music.
Yes they had on the mics but from a distance in the audience I don't think they would have been seen. Not hearing the singing would have been the bigger problem. The makeup was also applied heavy for the stage and not for filming purposes.
