Now KEVIN quits films...

I wasn't overly enthused about Richard Dreyfuss' big "I'm quitting films" announcement, but I am intregued by a similar statement just made by Kevin Spacey.

I wonder if this is also step # 1 to his eventual coming out.
I'd like that.

Well with he recent record of truly horrible films this may be something to applaud.

I saw the trailer for Beyond the Sea. It made me want to see it, very well done and a great look. But we know how deceptive previews can be.

i thought he had acknowledged being homosexual, or bisexual at least, but not actually confirmed or announced it. or is that just a rumor becoming truth on its own?

Of course, there was that magazine interview (Playboy?) where he denied being gay and said that the gay rumors that have dogged him have helped him because - and I quote - "chicks dig converting me".

An awful, awful man. Let England keep him.

Beyond the Sea was very well received at the Toronto Film Festival. I think Kevin will reconsider.

H'okay here's the tip re the Bobby Darrin movie. Spacey sings all the songs NOT Darrin's recordings. Funny ,Jamie Foxx knew to lipsynch for "Ray" but Spacey has standards... Self promotion is one. He will never quit movies , he LOVES being famous ( read Withnal & I) Oh yes, he is also going to to a big band concert tour featuring the Darrin repetoire.
