Ok. I was hoping that you guys and gals could help me here. For some reason, I have been on this little adventure trying to find good, obscure musicals that did not go anywhere or where never even produced. The only one that I really found was "FRANKENSTEIN: THE MUSICAL," which by the way is AWESOME. If you can help me on this, I would greatly appreciate it. By the way, if you have not seen Spider-Man 2 yet, I STRONGLY advise you to do so. It is SO GOOD and Alfred and Donna are great in it.
Will you take musicals that are going to be on Broadway in a few years? I always enjoy discovering musicals that have lots of promise...
You caught me. I was going to include Honk! and Sleepy Hollow too.
How is that different from Dracula besides the difference of one letter?
Just by the clips on the website, it does not have anywhere near the "FRANK WILDHORN STYLE." I am really anticipating that cast recording.
Have you come across THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER? I have the CD and the score is superb. I understand that there is a possibility of a staging of this show sometime soon.
Also, there is FIELDS OF AMBROSIA. The West End production was such a disaster, I cannot forsee that this will ever be staged agin. But it has some truly wonderful songs.
And there is THE DYING GAME, which it is very much hoped will spring to life on stage in the not too distant future.

How about 3hree...Saw it in LA and thought it to be interesting and entertaining.
Evening Primrose is pretty obscure. It's by Sondheim and it was originally a special TV movie that was kind of like an episode of the Twilight Zone.
Oh, and then there's Carrie...

I think my cousin is in Honk! right now.
Randomness.
Donna Murphy is in Spiderman 2?? Ok, now I may actually have to see it...
This is the first time I've ever heard anyone else mention NIGHT OF THE HUNTER! I've had the CD for a couple of years and, though it's not great, I still like it a lot!
Try this site... it's a bit out of date but has some info you might be interested in...

I once saw a work-in-progress musical in Toronto called "Adam & Eve"; it starred Louise Pitre as Eve. She was wonderful (and it's nice to say that I was a fan of hers before her stint in Mamma Mia). The premise of the show was interesting: the real story of Adam and Eve, as they bicker and try to understand each other in the garden of Eden. The score was wonderful, very Sondheim-esque. I wonder what happened to this show....
