OGEAR fashion show at Planet Hollywood

Yesterday at 1pm there was a fashion show at Planet Hollywood for OGEAR (www.ogearclothing.com) the clothing company founded by Chad Kimball. A whole bunch of Broadway actors took to the runway to strut their stuff, and let me tell you, it was FUN! The models included Ryan Duncan, Matthew Morrison, Julie Danao-Salkin, Max Von Essen, Michael Arden, Julia Murney, Barrett Foa, Deborah S. Craig, Jeremy Kushnier, Christian Anderson, Rashad Naylor, Nicole Snelson, Danny Gurwin, Megan McGinnis, Nick Dalton, Kerry Butler, and Geoff Hemingway. (Did I forget anyone?) At the end, they revealed a new BC/EFA t-shirt for which all proceeds from the sale of that shirt will go to BC/EFA. It was extremely entertaining watching all these stars working the runway. And wearing such cool t-shirts. My only complaint was that Chad didn't take to the runway as well...

Would have gone iF i had heard something about it. And from the look of the pics they posted on bw.com NO ONE else knew it was happening either. All those seats in the pics are empty. Sad, I would have bought a T-shirt.
CHAD I LOVE YOU!!!! , but where is your PR person when you need them.

There was sadly a very small audience. There were articles posted about it on Playbill.com and Broadwayworld.com. I really thought a lot of people would show, but I guess not. They didn't sell any tshirts there, which I thought they shouldve, especially the new BCEFA one, I definately would've bought one. I'll just have to go online and buy one. I actually wearing one of my OGear shirts now, as I look at all the great pictures that Craig took.

It's sometimes hard to get a large crowd in the middle of a day - especially a monday when people have just returned to work. Thanks for the kudos, MissNY. The crowd that was there were very into it and all got a nice letter from Chad with a discount code.

P.s. JohnnyJune - You can barely tell the size of the room and audience based on the photos posted. The crowd that was there opted to sit in front of the stage - very few sat around the sides.

I think it's great that Chad has not only created a new business for himself (in addition to performing) but that his new endeavor has already committed itself to helping out both BC/EFA and Katrina victims. For a small upstart, that's pretty darn impressive.

Craig, you are right, I was so distracted by looking at my watch to get back to work in a reasonable amount of time (I figured a close to two hour lunch was already pushing it) that I felt very rushed. It probably would have been better attended if it had been held a little later (but I presume serving dinner takes precedence).

The shirts were very cute though and the actors/models at least made the best of it and had fun pretending like they knew what they were doing.

Aw, Shoshana! You beat me to the post...

Yeah, this was a lot of fun! I loved the models improv skills, heh. Usage of food trays, cell phones, jackets, etc. I personally think OGear is great. Everyone... go buy a shirt!

uhh i dont post much, and it seems like i really have nothing to contribute since both shoshana and alli have spoken everything,hahaha, but it was alot of fun and it was great to see everyone wearing his shirts, they really are cleaver and i think just a fun thing to wear, everyone really should go and check out the site. :)
