Hi, all!
OLD HATS at the Signature...
Having never been to the venue before, what's the likelihood of chatting it up with the cast -- Met Bill (Irwin) YEARS ago, lovely man, would love to catch-up should the opportunity present itself. And, also, is there audience participation in the show at all? What's the buzz on this one? I know it's been extended thru June.
Best,

Posted: 4/15/13 at 10:26amI haven't actually seen this show yet, but I want to, it looks like great fun! I did see a few NYMF shows at that theatre last summer, and it was very easy to talk to the cast after. Its one of these theatres that the cast basically has to exit through the lobby that the audience also exits through. There is no real stagedoor. Hope that helped some, and if you see Old Hats soon, post about how it was! I know one person that saw it and thought it was great fun. :)

Hey there--I just ushered for this yesterday; it was wonderful! Sitting in the front row, you'd pretty much be assured of some in-your-seat participation. Shiner is actually in the theater watching as folks are being seated to scope out who might be the right people to actually bring on stage; they are not "plants," but were mostly attractive, nimble folks under 30 if it helps to know that!
In terms of accessibility of the actors, I got to watch Irwin warm up and he seemed like an amiable guy, although I didn't interrupt him to try to chat. In terms of afterward, Signature's such a warm, friendly place that I can't imagine it'd be difficult to say hello to these people, and the house manager could probably tell you how to do that; enjoy!
