I just saw Out of Order downtown at East Village Basement and I absolutely loved it. It's a super unique one man show — I thought it was a really compelling look at art making and the realities of working in the city. The idea is that the actor — playwright Carl Holder — pulls index cards out of a bowl and performs the play "out of order." It's a lot of fun, has some audience interaction (but not enough that it's uncomfortable), and feels really intimate. It's such a cool venue too! Highly recommend going and checking it out.

There is a little bit, but nothing crazy. I'm not a fan of audience participation generally but I didn't find this overwhelming at all — if anything, it made it better!
