I am making a very last minute trip to New York this Saturday and I'm going to try rush or lotto to see both a matinee and an evening show if possible. I'm open to seeing any of the new shows from this season, plays or musicals. Which are generally the "safest" shows in terms of winning lotto or getting rush tickets? My bus won't arrive until around 9:45 so I won't be able to get to any of the theaters until about 10am, therefore if it is necessary to arrive really early to secure rush tickets, it probably won't work for me. I am still a student so I can do either a student rush or a general rush. Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated!

Born Yesterday also has an easy student rush.
I thought BORN YESTERDAY doesn't have a rush - instead, they have balcony seats regularly priced at $26.50. That's how I saw it. Did that change?

From that list, WAR HORSE isn't just a difficult rush, it's impossible, as rush tickets have not been available since very early previews. If there are no rush tickets, it doesn't matter how early you get there.
Right before SPIDER-MAN went on hiatus, people were lining up 2 hours early for rush tickets and they were selling out pretty quick. Things may have changed since they re-opened, but it's only been re-open less than a week, so I'm not sure that's enough time to judge the demand.
I haven't tried, but I've heard that ANYTHING GOES and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN sell out of rush pretty quickly, so if you can't get to the theater before 10, you probably shouldn't bet on either of those shows.
Does ROCK OF AGES still have a lotto? I thought when they moved to the Helen Hayes, they switched to a rush.

Did you see it when it was still in previews? I believe they changed it after opening, since there was no rush when I saw it in previews, but I was sold a rush seat when I saw it after opening. It was $26.50 and I would imagine whatever they have left. My friend and I sat in the second row of the balcony and our seats were perfect.
backwoodsbarbie, are you a HipTix member? You could always call and see if they have any tickets for Anything Goes.
Yeah I am a hiptix member but unfortunately the 1st available tickets for Anything Goes are June 6th. I may try to hiptix The People in the Picture so I have tickets ahead of time for at least one of the Saturday shows.
Did you see it when it was still in previews?
Yes, I did. That would explain it. Thanks!
