I missed the AMEX presale. Do you know if they release all available seats (except perhaps the premium lot) or just a batch for presales? I'm wondering if I have any chance in July. Thanks.
I called Ticketmaster and ordered my tickets last night for January. The lady who helped me said she doesn't know what's going to happen when the tickets are released to the general public, because there aren't going to be any left. The best seats I could get were Row H Rear Mezzanine, and that was with an American Express card. I bet they'll extend again though.

Didn't they announce that tickets for the show's extension ( Feb to April?) will be available soon?
I did try on June 6 to get some tickets but they went so fast that I had no luck getting any. As my window to see the show is limited to the first week of October when I expect to be in NYC, I had to go to outside sources (sheepish look) and was lucky to get front row first mezz.
It's my favourite Neil Simon play and I would have gotten tickets even if Nathan and Matthew were not in the lead.

Thanks. Yeah, they announced another presale on June 20 but my window is also limited, unfortunately.
I saw Nathan Lane twice (including his second-to-last performance...) during his brief stint in the West End and vowed to do whatever it took to see him in whatever he did next, wherever it might be.
November is the best time for a NY holiday for me and, though it may seem unnecessarily pessimistic, I'm keen to catch him early and would prefer not to wait until, er, after Christmas...! (Just in case!)
When the AmEx presale sold $7 billion's worth, I started freaking out, went to an agency and paid a whopping fortune for two orchestra row G seats for 16 November. I thought I was buying seats in the centre section but I'm just to the side in 5/7 so I guess we'll have a slightly restricted view. I could (should?) have made a fuss because I was misled by the person on the phone (i.e. "are they in the centre section?" "Yes!") but I was still too busy freaking out.
I REALLY wish you luck with getting tickets - for me it's a one-off excuse for a holiday abroad so I can almost justify the expense, but it must be infuriating for those who love Broadway, see as many shows as they can but can't afford premium prices. The presale system is new to me but it seems really unfair in that it gives maximum advantage to those who - financially - least need it.
(I REALLY hope that rumours on this board are true and Ernie Sabella joins the cast! I'm already deliriously happy at the bonus appearance of Brad Garrett and his VERY sexy voice.)
I agree that it's completely unfair to have this pre-sale to only people with the AMEX Gold Cards. I personally don't have one. I had to dig through all of my friends to find one who had one then convince him to go to the show with me. Oy. It is pretty ridiculous that people's opportunities to go to a Broadway show are limited because of the amount of money they make. I mean, jeez, the tickets are super expensive the way it is.
I don't think G 5/7 would be obstructed.
And the presale was $7 million, not billion. :)

I agree that the presale is very unfair. One of my dad's coworker's has an AMEX card so we lucked out and were able to use his, but it's not fair that you should be restricted based on what credit card you use. I imagine when it opens to the general public there will be slim pickings, unless they kept some good seats reserved for then...

Always knew I was bad with numbers but that's a corker!
Yes, of course $7 million. Though millions/billions are to my personal finances what our local cluster of galaxies are to a small pebble on a beach in Brighton, so they might as well be interchangeable. For example, I actually applied for a rotten stinking American Express card, just to get tickets.
They wouldn't have me!!! :o(
But relieved to hear about the seats, thank you!
