Obviously this is dripping with speculation and there are MANY things to factor in (i.e. the possible/likely extension of the show's run, money, etc.) but, I was wondering what the odds are of PBS filming and broadcasting the CABARET Re-Revival for Great Performances?
I know an early version was filmed at Donmar but the final product that wound up in NYC is somewhat different and (in my opinion) superior.
I know it's wishful thinking, but I would love for this particular production to be preserved and released theatrically and made available on DVD.
With someone like Michelle Williams in the lead, I'm certainly hoping that producers see this as a worthwhile endeavor.

Posted: 3/28/14 at 4:17pmI think that Roundabout should strike a deal with HBO to broadcast all of their shows on HBO. It would help Roundabout financially and would work well because Roundabout rarely extends but they put on such great performances (most of the time). Of course, this is just wishful thinking.
