Anybody see this one yet? Just wondering what playbill cover art looks like - As it's such a 'different' show. Anyone have insight on what to expect, etc.? Many thanks! Best.
Clay is a one man show. I know it's all rap.
It premiered in Kansas City.
Here is the link to the Kansas City Repertory Theatre's site that has info on the show.

CLAY
I saw CLAY way back in autumn 2006 at Ars Nova at a special producer's viewing, when it was being optioned for a full-run. Clearly, Lincoln Center had the winning offer, but it was still a cool experience. It's an engaging story but definitely a certain "type" of audience has to embrace it. One boy telling his life-story of discovering the hip-hop/free-styling culture in Brooklyn (against racial odds) and using it as a way to raise up out of a confusing household and find self-identity. I recommend it to young people and open-minded patrons of the arts. The Duke at 42nd is definitely a much-bigger space that I would have envisioned CLAY to "premiere" but congratulations to him!
