I was underwhelmed:

I agree. I was rather underwhelmed. The performances were rather good, or at least the two central performances -- Lynn Whitfield and the actor playing her husband. The younger cast members seemed to be trying a bit hard. Gayton Scott took me a while to warm up to just because I wanted to be seeing Julie Halson - but she was fine.
It was "fine". Really nothing more nothing less. I'd say most of that could be blamed on the play itself. It took one joke and tried to run a very long way with it. Just too much of the same thing.
If my memory serves me correctly, critics thought the play was kind of stagnant - but did a decent job at being a relatively contemporary farce, singling out the three central performances.
