What off broadway shows do you think should have transfered to broadway and were never given a chance?
my top few:
Small Tragedy by craig lucas
Bare a pop opera
i also think fame would have had a better chance of running longer on a broadway stage then offbroadway.
No, I think FAME was lucky to get as close to Broadway as it did...
I found it much better then saturday night fever, and footlose both which had broadway runs.

The NYT mixed review of "Violet" made me sad, because I thought it deserved to transfer to Broadway so more people could discover it and the NYT review pretty much killed that idea. I'm happy to see that "Violet" eventually has been discovered by as many as it has.

As much as I love L5Y, I dont think it would of worked on Broadway.
wit.
"The Last Five Years" would have worked in a small Broadway house, like the Helen Hayes or Circle in the Square.
i forgot she stoops to comedy by richard greenburg a very very funny play.
i love most of his work that i know. It's always a bit out there. But fun none-the-less.
