Re: Warriors tix?
I don’t think that artwork is going to work. Won’t be surprised if it changes again before opening.

It's such a mixed bag that is no longer a representation of the original production. I wish they had done this with the intention of making the original recording sound as good as possible, as opposed to trying to make it as different as possible."I have to assume that was the intent of the las...

It's missing two of the same notes."It’s the same way at the end of Music of the Night too. It’s an intentional change. That’s how it’s played now in the US tour and, I assume, London too.
DAMNY YANKEES (Marquis) - 2027 Broadway revival - Harris, Hough & Scott
MichelleCraig said: "I saw the 1994 REVIVAL of this show. Now we are told we’re getting a REVISAL of this show. Why?"The 1994 revival was also heavily revised by Jack O’Brien. It was just as much of a revisal as this.

I had thought one of the more significant elements of the Arena Stage revisal was making Joe Boyd/Joe Hardy Black and giving him a family history connected to the racial history of baseball. That seemed to be more than just color-conscious casting; it was as actually built into the new book and helped explain why the story had been moved forward from the 1950s.What makes today’s announcement especiall...
Re: Phantom/ALW Demos?!
I don’t hear the guitar on the original.
Re: Phantom/ALW Demos?!
Looking at the times of each track for the digital release it looks like only the Hannibal Rehearsal track and Masquerade will have extra material. The title song has the electric guitar added back in.
Re: Michael Ball to lead new musical adaptation of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY with Marc Shaiman score
I think Michael Ball will make a terrific Wonka. Shaiman and Wittman have written a few new songs since the Broadway production that have been incorporated into the various tours so it likely won’t be the same as the Broadway incarnation. I think the Broadway production itself was so poorly conceived and designed that it might have been difficult for people to evaluate the actual material.

EVITA 2025 London Cast Recording Thread
For what it’s worth the vinyl presentation does look really nice. I’m just not interested in spending 100 dollars for a vinyl.
Re: Bat Boy transfer being teased
Just meant if they’re trying to build hype it’s likely to get buried by all the Evita promo on social media. That’s all.
Re: Bat Boy transfer being teased
Bat Boy dropping their album the same day as the Evita album is a choice. I wonder which one will get more streams.
Re: THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW Cast Recording Thread
Sherie please.
This Ain’t No Disco Will Get Long-Awaited Cast Recording
I wonder what circumstances lead to this getting recorded and how we can get more flops recorded.
Another Phantom Sequel?
If you’re talking about Our Strange Duet, it’s not really a sequel. It’s The Phantom of the Opera retold from Christine’s perspective.
THE LOST BOYS Original Broadway Cast Recording Thread
It’s not like the movie is some cinematic masterpiece. It’s just a fun 80s horror comedy. The score seems perfectly fine for this material to me.
THE LOST BOYS Original Broadway Cast Recording Thread
Does the show have an overture or prelude they didn’t include on the album?
Why wasn’t Rebecca Luker nominated for her Maria in The Sound of Music?
joevitus said: "The scene in the clip Brody sharedis so atrociously staged. I think it's actually rather difficult to stage The Sound of Music effectively, but the nuns bowing to each other is just...bizarre. As is trying to shove the movie moment into the middle of the stage version, where it doesn't work. Kinda miss the "Alpine music" that generally greets Maria's intrance before the intro verse, but that's the least of the problems here."I actually really enjoy the orchestration for the ti...
HAMILTON 4K and Blu-ray
MysteriousLady said: "This will be one of the rare times I disagree with you. Modern DVDs look remarkable and with all the compression that goes on with streaming they can even be better than streaming in 4k (which isn't actually 4k by the time they compress it to hell)."This is assuming they were ever really 4k to begin with. Some 4k blu-rays are just upscales of 2k masters.
