OK, I'm finally here.

I had a ton of German and Austrian pen pals (yes, PEN PALS) back in the mid/late '90s, so I've heard about Drew for a really long time. In fact, somewhere, I have a printout of a stage door pic of him at Glöckner.

and how he was so into just listening to everyone else sing? Sounds like something I'd do. Oops.

I'm pretty sure I was at that show. During the blank part, I counted all the lines I'd heard against all the people who'd sung, and, well...poor Drew.

If you click on "Songs in This Production" From the Dead is now listed again before the finale. And it's an updated list with the new songs from NY. Does this mean that the original song "From the Dead" is back in as the finale?

I hope so! I reallly loved those individual solos from the principles.

Hah, well, I don't think they actually explain it in the show. It's what the cast/creative was drawing from the book...or at least, that's what I understood. I could be wrong!

I feel the same way. I saw it in SF from the ass balcony, then in NYC from the VERY last row of the balcony.

It definitely can get expensive! I'm going in May (duh) with two other people. Total, each one of us is paying $520 (that includes plane, hotel and three shows - Lestat, Phantom and Sweeney Todd.) So, that doesn't even cover spending money, food, drink (OF COURSE!) and cab fare (overrated.)
I think the cheapest trip was probably my last one to NYC. I don't think I spent more than $100 when I was there. My friend and I were lucky enough to win the Rent and Wicked lotteries, so those tickets were cheap. I got ass-balcony Lestat tix for $45 and then Chicago tix for $60. Oh, and we stayed in a dump!
San Francisco was defintely expensive. We did the tourist stuff and probably spent $500 not including the plane ticket! EEP!

Since we're talking about buying Drew CDs, has anyone had trouble with Footlight.com? I ordered "Say It," but it was backordered for two weeks. When two weeks came around, I emailed the website to ask about its availability, but haven't heard anything back. It's been 6 days since...

So about the CD, I might not get it for a good long time?

Haha, didn't Ring of Fire close after less than a month? That's sad.
Anyway, I hope Lestat at least gets nominated for something. Were there really a lot of new shows this season? *keeps fingers crossed*
