ah, hi Ali. I'm Dre and I'm one of the lucky ones to be going backstage on Wed. with Traci. Nice you could join us.

Swing, uh...well, swing I think is an understudy for the ensemble. Basically, when an ensemble member has to take the place of a main character, their spot is filled in by a swing. i think there is like 2 swings for each gender. And they must know all the steps for every ensemble member. I think. If I'm wrong, please, someone shoot me now.

uh...I'm getting Greg some Jelly Bellys. Do you think he will like them?

and one more thing. Why do half the avatars not show up? Is it my computer? And the main message board doesn't work. Thank god I have this under favorites.

btw, love the collage. HAPPY 3 MONTH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

Ali, check out the BWW FAQ, you might get some answers to your swing question there. And welcome to BWW/Greg thread. As for your backstage question, it's great that you're pursuing a career as a performer, but to go backstage, that's a bit of an iffy...issue. My take...you really shouldn't go backstage unless you really belong there. So don't try to force it upon someone to take you there. It's a VERY busy place and you'd only be getting in the way.

on the thread in the off-topic. But that still doesn't make sense that understudies seem to go on more than the standbys. Are standbys just not there and the understudies go on?

no, DRS has a standby. Nick Wyman was the standby (check ibdb.com) then that guy that we have seen on gregcam.

so, l5y is good? 'Nobody needs to know' sounds familar. i think i have heard it before. also, all the samples I'm hearing (from B&N) sort of remind me of 'The Spitfire Grill.' Does anyone know that musical?

ali, yeah, that is norb and sherie, and well..i think that they're dancing for the camera! lol. i found it a while back on broadway.com, and loved it so much, that it became my default pic! lol.

gav, i agree, 14 IS a good age, only b/c myspace is a risky thing, especially for younger people. i'm glad that you made the right desicion! :)

Kevin the doorman is a weird guy. Supposedly he yelled at an emsemble member and called her bimbo infront of the whole crowd. The woman got so pissed and yelled at him and told him not to call her a bimbo infront of the crowd. he's weird.

pretty good. Liking Schmuel song and Nobody Has To know (i think cause I heard if before. my friend had sung it sometime and somehow I remembered it.) Love Nobert in it. Gret for him. Wish I could have seen it. Does anyone have the script? i would love to read it.

L5Y is pretty good. I'll have to listen to it a lot to really get into it. But I really like Nobody Has To Know and the Schmuel Song. And Cathy's still hurting.
