I thought this woman, in my opinon the best Aida, needed a thread for all of us that love her. Please share your stories and pics, etc. I did not get to meet miss Ivory but sent her a letter telling her how much I loved her performance. She sent a lovely signed photo and note. Truly a lovely person and performer.
I love Paula. Never seen her as Aida but saw her in London as Nala in The Lion King and in various West End concerts throughout the UK.
Wonderful voice and a lovely person too.

What concerts? Do you know if any are out on CD? I've been looking for a recording with her on it!
I always wished they brought her to play Aida on Broadway.

TOLD YA SHE WAS BRITISH, EMCEE!
Paulette will always be my AIDA...she was the only one I saw!
I can definitely see her as Aida. She would have been fantastic.
Yes, chenofan, the concerts were officially released on CD. It's called Another Kind Of Magic (Queen tribute) with Paula, Dean Collinson, James Graeme and Sally Ann Triplett. The concerts were AMAZING. I'm pretty sure you can get it through Dress Circle.
If you have any problems finding it PM me.

She is the only Aida for me. All the others, yea. She is THE best.
On the program when I saw her it said she was appearing on tour with permission through British equity or something like that. She has a gorgeous accent and voice. Incredible.
I totally agree she was my favorite AIDA!!!! Her voice was so incredible it brought tears to my eyes, she had such passion in her voice when she sang it was amazing to watch her. After the show they announced that some cast members were going to be collecting donations from Broadway Cares Equity... , and I didn't expect her to be outside in costume but she was, so I gave her a donation and I was so nervous and excited to tell her I loved her, but she was sooo sweet. I wish she would have gone to Broadway before they closed.
I've only seen Aida twice, once w/Paulette and the other w/Simone. To me, Paulette was Aida. She had this proud, regal presence about her. She was incredible. Gorgeous and a voice to match.
I saw Heather and Paulette as Aida
Overall, Paulette took the cake
OH..........she was my very first AIDA.......I loved her performance as AIDA. I also sent her and e-mail and she wrote me back she is a AMAZING woman. She should do more shows.
What is she up too now?
