Does anyone know when opening night is/was for the Toronto run?

I believe it was only delayed one day.
Hmmm..I'd be interested in the reviews if this has already happened.
Yea, it was supposed to only be delayed one day.

Usually for the first stop of a national tour, they will have preview performances. When is the official press opening?

I think the official press opening is March 20th -- although you will be hard pressed to find a reference to it anywhere.
The official press opening night for WICKED in Toronto is Sunday March 20.
Getting onto the press list for that night is near impossible. The Mirvishes are usually very generous in arranging press passes to shows that open here but in this case the New York producers are only making a few pairs of seats available for press. All others are expected to buy seats at full price.
Reviews will be out in the Toronto Star, National post and Globe & Mail probably on Monday March 21. There is also a tabloid called The Toronto Sun but they don't cover theatre much, and when they do the reviewers are very ignorant of theatre history.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Thurs March 31. It has been delayed so Stephanie can have a couple performances to catch up to the cast.

Yes, Stephanie is returning March 25 and the official opening for the press will be the 31st.
Where did we see those dates...3/25 & 3/31. I saw them on ATC as well, but couldn't find the story officially?

An article today in the Toronto Star:
Ding, dong the witch will be back, but don't put on those ruby slippers just yet.
Stephanie J. Block will play her first Toronto performance in Wicked as the green-skinned witch Elphaba on March 25. She suffered severe muscle strain from an accident during the final dress rehearsal March 7 and has been recuperating since. Kristy Cates flew up from the Broadway production and began previews in the role last Wednesday.
"Stephanie has been recovering slowly but surely," said producer David Stone, "and we've decided to delay the show's official Toronto premiere so that she could be a part of it."
Consequently, the opening night has been moved to March 31 from the original date of March 20. Wicked will continue at the Canon Theatre until April 24, but the run is sold out, except for obstructed view seats and 20 tickets per show available for $25 by lottery.
