For a crazy performance that I am doing. I am debating between 3 options:
a) a minute of tap followed by 3 completely contrasting monologues/characters, then part of a hebrew prayer, and to end it all "Don't Rain on My Parade"-It will be about 5 minutes total
b) dueting with myself in WSS
c) A really slow blues song with big hair and a lot of emotion.

Definitley NOT a)! b) and c) sound interesting. Leaning toward c). What are you leaning toward?

I would go for A because of "Dont rain on my Parade" mainly becuase I love that song it is so fun to sing. But I would do just that song maybe a little tap. Also if you use Barbara Strisand (sp sorry, I know, shoot me!!) the song alone is about 5 min.

But the songs association with Streisand is exactly why you shouldn't do a)!
Hmmm....I think I am leaning towards a or c. I am so the opposite of a blues singer with big hair that I think that would be A LOT of fun. In terms of A, I would only take pieces of the monologues and the songs and as far as the association with Streisand-that is exactly why I would never do the song as an auditon but this performance is going to be very crazy with crazy costumes etc. so I think people will be forgiving if I'm not Streisand. It would be used more for comedic effect than anything else, although I do love holding the last note for a long time.
Thanks for the input
