But this is one case where the projections, which I'm predisposed to be annoyed by in general, were gorgeous (I admit that I LOVE the Impressionist artists, so that helped) and I did actually enjoy the second act. It needs a lot of help, and I wouldn't have wanted to pay more than the TDF price (4th row mezz and moved down to 2nd row center at intermission) but I thought the playwright had a lovely concept with a lot of potential...only wished he'd been able to really make it work. NOT dreadful, however, at least for me!

I enjoyed the play more than I thought. The story wasn't hard to follow, the acting was great (especially Joan), and though I knew nothing whatsoever about art, I liked the whole idea of taking a step back to really look at something from another perspective.
As previews continue, I'm sure the story will get tighter and improve, plus cutting out the intermission and having it be one act will make it more enjoyable for everyone.
