I've seen it and I own a copy. It's worth the money.
It's a must see. Definitely. Great production. The Dream Ballet is outstanding.
As an added bonus, Hugh is shirtless for the whole fight between Curly and Judd at the end. Such a treat.
The DVD is amazing. I saw the Broadway mounting, and across the board the cast on the DVD is better. Even Josefina Gabrielle was better than on Broadway (even though I didn't really like her).
I love the Oklahoma DVD... I love that whole production. I actually had to special order the cast recording because Barnes and Nobles never had it. Its one of my favorites.
I've got both and love them. The DVD is absolutely wonderful, and has converted two of my formerly-hating-Oklahoma! friends.
It's a great production though I don't care much for the female lead. She does have a great voice but she just couldn't compete with Shirley Jones personality wise IMO. Hugh Jackman however, whoa mama! Not only is he amazingly talented but he's also tremendously hot. His version of "Surrey with the Fringe on Top" makes me melt every time. The guy that plays Jud is also really great!
All in all, it's a must buy!

That's Shuler Hensley, who also played Judd on Broadway and won a Tony for it (he and Josefina Gabrielle, who played Laurey, were the only ones allowed to come to Broadway - Shuler was a given since he's American. Josefina is British). Shuler is going to be in "Tarzan" this spring. He also played Frankenstein opposite Hugh Jackman in the movie "Van Helsing" last year. There is a great clip of Hugh and Shuler at a big comics event that's held every year called Comic-Con - they were there helping promote Van Helsing. Hugh got up from the table and wanted to do a little impromptu song with Shuler and started singing "Summer Lovin" from "Grease" but Shuler wouldn't bite and Hugh wound up doing the whole song himself! It was priceless! If anyone is interested in seeing it, it's here:

I am a big Shuler fan. He was Javert in my first Les Miz experience. From then I loved him.
I just saw him doing Regina in Kennedy Center with Patti Lupone. He is one of the kindest person. What a voice!

I did see the London production in 1999, but as I was seated in Dress Circle ( Front Mezz on Broadway) and couldn't see the onstage details too well ( due to poor vision), the filmed version of the show is a treat.
It's hard to decide which song Hugh does best - Oh What A Beautiful Morning, Surrey With the Fringe on Top, or People Will Say We're in Love. They are all wonderfully rendered and defined the character of Curly very well!
