Not to mention that after you give them a ticket for free, you'd then be sitting next to them for the whole show?! I'd rather an empty seat, heh.
Didn't know which thread to post in, so I chose this one. My mom, sister-in-law and I attended last Wednesday's matinee. My mom wanted to see Misty Copeland. I saw the show earlier this year. I can still hear the hauntingly beautiful harmonies of the acapella chorus in Lonely Town. I applaud the producers for keeping this show open. To me, this is what a Broadway musical is all about; beautiful music, lots of dancing, large orchestra and a large cast!

One hopes that "A Director" above was joking! The piano player WAS Leonard Bernstein himself (as PalJoey is quite aware). This was from a gala in the late 80s/early 90s, for which Bernstein talked Farrell into coming out of retirement to sing (after her husband had died in 1986). I imagine she told him she'd only do it if he accompanied her!
