On-stage seating for Richard III
#1On-stage seating for Richard III
Posted: 11/27/13 at 12:32pmLooking for advice - it is worth it to purchase on stage seating for Richard III? I already have center mezz, row D and am wondering if I should get on-stage. The only info I can find is that the on-stage seating is that they are located in "the upper tier of on stage boxes" but when viewed on the site for tickets, it looks like they are directly on stage (which I would prefer) Any advice is appreciated! Thanks.

Posted: 11/27/13 at 12:49pmThere are two levels of on-stage seating. If you get the top level, odds are you will spend the entire leaning over a rail to see the show if you are in the front row, and if you are in the second, you may spend the entire show standing and leaning to see. That is what I observed others doing for both Richard III and Twelfth Night (from my mezz seat).

Posted: 11/28/13 at 7:21pmI sat in mezzo Row D for Richard and it was just fine. Looking over at the folks sitting on the stage, those seats the 2nd tier did not look very comfortable. The people in the front row had their heads resting on their arms looking down, people in the 2nd row had to stand up at times to see when something was staged closest to their side.
