Roundabout Theatre Company has a General and Student rush policy that applies to all of their shows, at all of their theaters. General Rush is $27-$45 and the seats are located in the mezzanine. Student Rush is available at the box office half hour to curtain and they offer you the best seats available at half price. I recommend joining their HIPTIX program if you're between the ages of 18-35 (it's free to join) and you will have access to $25 tickets that you can purchase in advance online or at the box office.

Is the general rush for every performance, or just if it is sold out?

Based upon my experience with past Roundabout productions, general rush isn't available at all when the show is sold out. No seats are set aside; it's subject to availability in the mezzanine (as well as the boxes I believe).

General rush is available at every performance (as long as the show still has seats available for said performance). In the winter when the weather is bad and they receive cancellations, they'll also have what is called a "Snow Special" (they'll announce if there is a snow special on their social media accounts) in which $20 tickets will be available at the box office day of performances and the seats can be located anywhere in the house. They had a "Sandy Special" in the days to follow the hit of Hurricane Sandy and I got a 2nd row orchestra seat for $20 to Cyrano de Bergerac.

I tried to rush last Wednesday (I believe), and they had a sign posted saying there were no rush tickets available. Not sure if that has been the case for the performances over the last week. I really want to see this!

How are the box seats at the American Airlines? I notice those are priced as the same as rear mezzanine seats online for purchase but labeled at obstructed/partial view. Has anyone sat their?

I sat in the box seats for the Real Thing I found them to be just fine. I haven't seen 20th Century yet, so I can't speak to the particular sight-lines of this show, but I could see almost the entire stage for the Real Thing when I was sitting in the house-right boxes.

JBroadway - were you in the orchestra or mezzanine boxes? Seems there are two levels. And also: which seats? Further back or closer to the stage in the box is always a question.

I was in the mezzanine boxes. I can't remember exactly which, but I think I was in the box farthest from the stage, and toward the front of that box.

Go see it while Gallagher is out. lot of rush tickets due to his absence. James Moye is fantastic, you're in good hands with him.

Box seats are fine. They may obstruct your view a bit (left box with obstruct stage right and right box will obstruct stage left). General rush is $27-$45. Roundabout is a theatre company so rush policy does not change and applies to all their shows, every season. Rush policy is the same for Cabaret. However, from what I've heard, rush for this show has been difficult because they have been playing sold out performances.

Hello my fellow theatre lovers. I arrived at the theatre this morning around 8 45. They had a sign out front saying no rush tickets were available for tonight. Perhaps there's better luck Tues thru Thurs?

For any show, Saturday nights are notoriously difficult for rush because Saturday night is by far the most profitable night for every Broadway show. My suggestion is try one of the weekday performances, especially the 2:00pm matinee on Wednesday. There may be some availability then, especially while Peter is still out of the show.

Has anyone been able to buy a rush seat anytime recently? The Rush Report seems to have completely failed at getting accurate info for this show... they keep saying "No one lined up/100% chance of tickets" but one of my friend tried twice in the last few weeks and both times there was a sign up saying no rush seats would be sold that day.

I think On The 20th Century has been playing sold out performances recently. I'm still finding ticket availability for members of Roundabout's HIPTIX program, though.

Well I'm guessing there's no one lined up because they get there and see the "no rush" sign. As for the percentage change of getting tickets, though… it just goes to show the inaccuracy and inept capability of the Broadway Spotted Rush Report.

The sign was up today, too. That is for general rush, though, which is rear mezzanine. If that's sold out (or close to), they won't have general rush.

I know that they have done Student Rush, which is 50% of whatever they have left an hour or 30 minutes prior to the show. They do ask for ID though and are not willing to negotiate. They rather leave the seat empty then sell it to someone without an ID, even 5 minutes to curtain^^

They offered general rush tickets this past Wed (4/29) for the evening show but not the matinee. I'd never rushed this before but maybe Chenoweth being out for a few shows prior helped - I got there 5-10 min after the box office opened.

I needa see this show before it closes!! Does anyone know if they have been giving out rush tix?
