Does anyone have an opinion on this show at opened Sunday night? I did a search and did not find any posts. I have never seen this show, and wanted to know if it is worth it for me to go.

I saw the show this weekend and found it to be quite enjoyable. It's slow in some parts but overall it's a great production. The choreography is wonderful and the three leading men...particularly Tyler Hanes and Jeffrey Schechter are excellent.

I thought Harriet Harris was just okay as Madame Dilly, the alcoholic voice teacher. It's kind of a small part for someone of her pedigree but I guess she had the time. There were times though it sounded like she was rehashing her Mrs. Meers character from Thoroughly Modern Millie.

I think this production is worth seeing if you've never seen the show. The choreography and dancing definitely make it worthwhile.

Tyler Hanes was fantastic as was Jennifer Cody, Brian Shepard.
You can also see my interview with Harriet Harris and MORE on the site.

PS Harriet Harris was fantastic but I do wish she had a bigger part!!!

For some reason this show, my fave of the 40s, seems hard to get right. Still, if the dancing and choreography was so good that's a huge part of the battle--wish I could see it.

Just came back from the show tonight.
All around one of the better shows I've seen at the Papermill (and I usually go to 4-5 of them a year!!) The choreography was great as was the cast and the all around production.
However, the pacing was definately off and many parts, especially in Act 1 dragged.
It was probably about 90% full, but the audience was dead and had awful theater etiquette. There were a number of times that there were flashes and 2 announcements about it (one at the beginning and after intermission), but they didn't help.
Bottom line, if you have the time to make it to Milburn, it's a very enjoyable two and a half hours!!
