One Life, Many Voices - new CD

This is on topic, because the brilliant mind behind this CD has been on and off Broadway... Robin Strasser... The Shadow Box, Chapter Two, Tale of the Allergist’s Wife...
and, some of the cast of One Life to Live have also been on and off Broadway...Renee Elise Goldsberry, Catherine Hickland, Kathy Brier, Heather Tom... just to name a few... Oh, and Andrea McCardle sings background on one of Cat’s songs... Both Sides Now.

I received the demo of this CD in the mail on Christmas Eve... It is beautiful... the first song gave me chills... correction... EVERY song gave me chills! It is such an amazing experience listening to the heart and soul of this amazing cast. They should all be so very proud of their efforts on this CD. I know I’m a pretty proud One Life to Live fan. What a talented and giving cast.

Michael Easton did the photography which will be featured in a 32 page souvenir booklet. The photos he took for the CD jacket are stunning.

Each cast member agreed to “produce” their own contributed piece. Robin formed a not-for-profit organization with 100% of net proceeds going to hurricane relief. There is a listing on the CD website of the organizations they are supporting. Robin did this without any $$$ from ABC or the Disney corp.

It began as an idea, in response to a desire to help. How could we, a group of actors on ABC TV’s “One Life To Live” create a CD that our fans would buy... ... significantly aid in rebuilding the lives of our fellow Americans affected by the recent devastation of hurricane disasters?

The website features clips of the songs... but I have to tell you, hearing the entire song is so amazing. When you listen to this CD, and I hope you will... I hope that you are touched by all of the love that went into every song/poem/reading... it really is very special.
note:this cd was due to ship on jan. 9, but it's done early and will ship on jan. 3. :o)
