One OCU Voice Teacher Produces Five Tony Noms!

I don't know if it's a record, but I wanted to acknowledge Oklahoma City University voice teacher Florence Birdwell.

She has produced three performers with five Tony nominations. One for Lara Teeter (1984 "On Your Toes"), two for Kirstin and two for Kelli O'Hara. Is that a first?

I got to meet her last summer and my friend went to her Adam Guettel master class last February. She's an amazing woman!

She is quite the incredible woman. The students she turns out are consistently remarkable.
