I'll make this short. I (like 10000 other people) am having trouble deciding on what show to see on my upcoming trip to NYC in November. I'm seeing:
Mary Poppins
A Chorus Line
Company
Coast of Utopia Pt. 1
I'm trying to decide between:
The Fantasticks
Les Mis (Have already seen the show, but the new cast looks great)
Grey Gardens
The Times They Are a' Changin'
Les Mis or Grey Gardens

"The Fantasticks" is a very good show, but if you do decide to go make sure to get seats in the Center section, as the sightlines from the side are not great. I would also consider "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris," which, in my opinion, is one of the best nights of theatre to be had in New York City today.
My pick would be Grey Gardens
Grey Gardens, but I love the Fantasticks too. (You could probably see both, because the Fantasticks has a strange schedule to not compete with other shows...)
Well seeing as it hardly EVER gets recommended on here, I'm going to say Spamalot, purely because I've had the best time seeing this show; it's extremely silly (i.e. not meant to be taken too seriously), has some great songs and pokes fun at almost every other traditional musical theatre genre you can think of.

Of the choices given, I'd go with Grey Gardens!
Grey Gardens or The Fantasticks

Grey Gardens. I saw it Off-Broadway earlier this year, and it was absolutely amazing. It will only get better on Broadway.
