Well, it's going on now. Hopefully, some people from here went and will let us know how it was. I wanted to go so badly, but the wallet wouldn't let me.

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

I just got back, the after party was like a bad, boring wedding.

I've questioned before why people on this board seem to love Julia Murney so much, I'm getting kind of sick of shelling out tons of money just to see one song. Well tonight she made me a believer. She was later in the show, but there were mike problems all night, she comes out (straight from the Law & Order set) and starts singing "Stars and the Moon" and the mike is fading in and out, well she tosses the mike.. girl belted it out and had the entire room in the palm of her hand. I'm totally converted. Beautiful voice. I was a nerd and had to go up to her afterwards and tell her she rocked. So I believe!

Okay, back to the show. Euan Morton sang "Bless the Beasts and Children" beautifully, I had tears in my eyes. But other than Murney, the highlight was "Old Fashioned Love Story" by Alix Korey. She brought the house down with the hilarious delivery.

I believe Playbill listed the order in which it all went

"You Gotta Be" (performed by Isabel Rose) - AN ODD CHOICE
"Bless the Beasts and the Children" (Euan Morton) FABULOUS
"Le Jazz Hot" (Anne Runolfsson) NICELY DONE
"Memphis Lives in Me" (David Bryan) I'D RATHER LISTEN TO GARTH CD
"See What I Wanna See" (Kate Shindle) I CAN'T REMEMBER re: Only Make beleive Benefit Concert
"Lost in the Wilderness" (Chad Kimball) ANOTHER HONKY TONK
, "Old-Fashioned Love Story" (Alix Korey) BRILLIANT
"Children Will Listen" (Christiane Noll) PRETTY
, "Times Like These" (Judy Blazer) ANOTHER I DON'T REMEMBER
"I Ain't Got Time" (Anika Larsen) WAS DOING MENTAL GROCERY LIST
, "Stars and the Moon" (Julia Murney)
"Timeless to Me" (Harvey Fierstein and Dick Latessa)SEEN IT TOO MANY TIMES
"Easy to Be Hard" (Jennifer Hudson) SHE WAS GREAT..No stage presence though

and "Aquarius" (Darius de Haas and chorus) ended the program

I hate to say it, but I got kind of lost in some parts - the woman being honored brought up a poodle, talked about at length in her acceptance speech the poodle (I thought the poodle should have gotten something) and then you find out the poodle on stage...wasn't the poodle in the speeech....ugh
it was just slow, but Murney made me a believer so it was worth it to see that one song (finally)

No, that was a huge ActorsFund benefit at the Waldorf with such stars as Johnny Depp and Angela Landsbury being honored. And I know this because there's a great photo-op on Broadway.com about it.
