I totally would if I wasn't still in college, not equity (though I'm sure they're audtioning both, or not), in chicago and not in NYC, and..oh yeah...a female...
and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...
You never know until you try. You should always try because at the very least, you can get audition experience. Who knows, even if they think you're too young, they may like you, keep your record on file, and use you in the future.
g'awww. i wanna audition so bad. I know i could play the role, I just need to work on my apperance some more. IT seems like there are so many damn auditions on December 5!
Ana Gasteyer is sensational. Anyone should be honored to work with her.
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher
All of you are saying that you are too young. I would kill to audition, but I am definately too old. Damn it. I love singing along with Fieyros songs when I am listening to the CD. Plus I am not Equity, so I am sure there will be plenty of equity actors going for the role.
If a lot of men show up, they will probably type cast anyway.. just go!!! As Elphaba says "until I try i'llll never knowwwww" okay, that was dumb but, I'm trying to give support! And you never know.. if they don't feel you're right for Wicked, they can always keep you on file for Hairspray,RENT,Wedding Singer etc etc
how often do they have these? I want to try out but December 5 is the worst day possible. its the last day of classes for me for college. and i have another audition on that day. but at the same time i dont want to feel like i'm missing a big oppurtunity.
