This thread reminds me of something I was thinking while wasting time at work watching those really old archived Sh-K-Boom videos on Broadway.com. (My favorite work time-waster!) There are so many people who we haven’t seen back on Broadway in years – Alice Ripley, Anthony Rapp. Where is Tony Vincent?? Where is Tom Plotkin?? Or Kevin Chamberlin?

Sure, Norbert and Sherie have gotten a few roles, but don’t tell me that they didn’t get a TON of mileage from a little off-Broadway show called The Last Five Years…

As much as we’d like to believe it as loyal tenants of this website, the WORLD doesn’t stop at Broadway! Obviously many of these people are still around and certainly not starving…as it seems to have gone for Miss Orfeh. I for one am thrilled to finally get to see her get more stage time then she gets at random benefits. I’ll be happy to hear more than one song! And this sounds like a juicy role.

Meanwhile…did anyone else think about the fact that she’s playing a stripper and her husband’s playing a slut??? What would that make their offspring?

Literally, I had only heard Orfeh's name floating around this and a few other message boards from when she was in SNF and again in Love, Janis. When I went to NYC in March, Al Dente was lamenting on missing her one off concert at Feinsteins at the Regency. On the strength of his recommendation, I went along. And was knocked on my ass by her performance. So that's one way performers build fanbases without high profiles, Munk. Word of mouth. I'll be interested to see Trailer Park with her in it, that's for sure.
