I had heard there was a 2nd musical (other than the failed Band in Berlin) based on ther German singing group "Commedian Harmonists."
anyone happen to know the name?
"Harmony" a well-received show in out of town work in CA and FL. This musical was supposed to out of town in Philly and then move to NY and was stalled by a law suit involving shady dealings by a member of the production team involving his fund raising or lack thereof.
Brian D'Arcy James worked in the out of town ensemble. Score written by Manilow and Sussman. The court has sorted out all the legal stuff and the production should be moving ahead again soon.

That's the musical whose songs I've heard on Sirius 75 for a time. Barry Manilow himself sang them.
Yes, Manilow did a CD with some music from his stage musical "Copacabana" and some pop arrangements of some songs from "Harmony". The group arrangements for the show are much more in line with what you would expect to hear playing in the pit at a Broadway musical, but with his recordings you can at least get some idea of the music. "Stars in the Night" and "Where you Go" are very moving songs.
