Just wanted to post something funny I noticed rewatching the Hairspray performance. I already told Amneris.
John Hill (Fender) and Shoshana Bean (Shelley) have this little rubber duck thingy that they named squat. You can see a photo of Shoshana with it on John's site. Well, at the beginning of Hairspray's number, there is a closeup of Marissa singing and just behind her, if you look, you can see John Hill holding Squat at his side and waving him around a little bit before stuffing him into his pocket and giggling.
I just thought it was funny how he snuck it in.
