I was curious about how many people were in a Broadway show's original cast but were not with the show during a pre-Broadway tryout, such as Joel Grey, William Youmans, Chris Fitzgerald, Kristy Cates and someone else in Wicked. Conversely, if you can list people who were in a show's pre-Broadway tryout and not the original Broadway cast, such as the recent Little Shop revival.

Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

The Late ROBERT STACK was the original announcer for the LSOH Revival. I wish they would've left him in!

When RAGTIME opened in New York, it was mostly the original Toronto cast, except they replaced Camille Saviola, who had played Emma Goldman in Toronto, with Judy Kaye, who had played it in Los Angeles.

I don't know if Seesaw would work again in a commercial setting. Right now I'd say its best bet would be a Mufti/Encores concert staging. Or perhaps in a more daring and less likely situation Roundabout will have a look at it...?

How about the big one?

Sutton Foster replaced Erin Dilly in Millie.

That certainly had a massive impact on her careerre: Out of Town to Broadway Cast Changes

I believe that Brian Stokes Mitchell was in the workshop of DRS then John Lithgow took over.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

Why was Judy Kuhn replaced in Sunset Boulevard, anyone know? She's on the OBC.

The "OBC" is actually the LA cast.

And I believe she left because she was pregnant.

Didn't Erin Dilly do Thoroughly Modern Millie out of town? Sutton took over the role in New York. I believe Jim Stanek was Jimmy opposite Erin, to be replaced by Gavin Creel.

No, Erin Dilly never actually performed Millie in front of an audience. She rehearsed in La Jolla and that's as far as she got.

Yes, Jim Stanek was Jimmy (and was wonderful!) but did not continue on to Broadway.
