Anika Noni-Rose is Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She will be joined onstage by the aforementioned Terrence Howard, Phylicia Rashad, and James Earl Jones.

What do you think about Farnsworth? I know you listed both, but do they have a realistic shot at a nomination?
Both Azaira and Simpson were phenomenal. Simpson more so because this is his debut, not only on Broadway but hes a complete new comer. Could they be nominated or in such a strong season will they be long forgotten come May?

"Have they come yet?"

As far as the FARNSWORTH actors or almost anyone on that list, I'm not sure that there are any shoo-ins at this point (other than maybe the lead actresses in AUGUST). When you have major talents like Freeman, Fishburne, Howard, Anderson et al who's debuts are months away and any of whom may end up being absolutely brilliant, there a danger for any of the actors from the fall season being lost in the shuffle and overlooked come nomination time in May.

Personally, if I were betting, I don't think I'd put any money on either Azaria or Simpson getting a nod.

With Anika Noni Rose officially announced, the Best Actress race became even more overcrowded.

"Heres hoping Jennifer Garner wins a tony!"

Jennifer Garner? In a year like this? Which potential nominees have you seen this year and did you really think she was better than them?

And Jimmi Simpson is excellent... In a less competitive year, I'm sure he would've gotten a nomination. Sad.

Yea, I thought that maybe Alison Pill would have a chance of a nomination for MAURTIUS, but after lookin at that long list...the chances are lookin pretty slim :/
That's really too bad, because she gave an incredible performance, but by the time awards season comes around, I'm sure it will be forgotten.
Hmm.

But I can't wait to see all the other performers in their respective plays! Should be one interesting year...
