It is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! heart wrenching. the music is awesome. I personally think it's better than Last 5 Years. As long as the cast is strong, the emotions will pound. I Don't think you want a synopsis, or info on the songs it makes for a better show.

I would have to agree. The story is really moving and it would be better for you to just experience it. There are many influences in the music including americana and others. I recently choreographed it. It is a challenging piece with a great emotional arc. Just go experience it and then come back and discuss it.

It is a wonderful show. I was fortunate enough to see it in Atlanta (which is where the show is set nonetheless). Parade probably ranks as one of my most favorite scores of all time, the music is unbelievably moving. After seeing the show I suggest that you read one of the books about the true history behind the story. The two I would recommend are "The Leo Frank Case" by Leonard Dinnerstein or "And The Dead Shall Rise" by Steve Oney. I think the fact that the show is based on a true story makes it even more emotionally moving.
Parade: This is Not Over Yet.

The basic plot of Parade is what happens in a small town when a young girl is found dead. The musical deals with themes such as prejudice, justice, fairness, community.

There are many different styles of music in the show. But it leans more toward traditional music rather than the rock/pop sound.

Parade is genius. Absolutely genius. At the bottom of my blog is a lengthy review/summary that you can read.
