Of course it's a guinea pig. Its hair has just been smooshed down by the costume. Most mammals are shockingly smaller than you'd imagine once you take their hair out of the equation. Even my enormously fat cat who felt like one great big solid mass of cat shrank down to half his original size when wet.

That's the BEST thing on this site today.

I attend Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE musical theatre department. It received an overhaul in 2006 when Dr. Robert Tudor took over as the Head of the Music Department where the musical theatre department is based, and being a musical theatre actor as well as opera, his first act was to redo the entire curriculum for both vocal majors and musical theatre majors. I would say the program feels like it is 50% music and 25 dance and theatre but it truly isn't when you look at the curriculum. Their is a definite emphasis on music though because it is housed in that department. The department has a firm belief that the basis of any singing is classical training, so you will get alot of classical training to build up your technique and healthy singing, but the main music focus is musical theatre. It's a private school but has a very large program. In August 07 there 23 new vocal and musical theatre students, and we so far know of at least 16 new musical theatre students alone. We have a newly renovated theatre that opened in May 07 and also have a blackbox theatre where smaller shows are performed. Our mainstages for the coming school year will be Ragtime in the fall, Goodnight Desdemona goodmorning juliet in the spring, a project that combines original music, choreography, script, and art will be performed in the spring, as well as an opera. We will be doing a staged reading of Doubt, the Vagina Monologues, and will be doing I Love You You're Perfect now change. There is alot more but this post is getting really really long so if you have any other more specific questions please pm me and ill be sure to answer them.
