Anyone going to wear a Broadway-esque costume this Halloween?
Any Barbras? Judys? Channings?
Any Grizabellas? Phantoms? Bobby Strongs?
Fine... if you're gonna be Elphaba or Glinda you can comment also. 'Tis the season, afterall.
I'm gonna be Tobias Ragg (revival).

Let's not make 'em lame. I hate the guessing game.
What about a giraffe of Lion King?
Mrs. Lovett, revival style. But I'll have a rolling pin, to pay homage to Lansbury.
I strongly considered Channing, but I'm saving it for next year, it's a little difficult.
Probobly Millie Dillmount and if that doesn't work out then it's a masquarade character from phantom, and if I can't do that then it's either Eponine or someone from Spelling Bee.
Me and my friend are going to be Belle and the Beast. I can't wait!
ash from evil dead
I was thinking about going through the stages of Freddy Benson throughout the day, but I might just go as Ruprect.
OK, I know this is lame but my friends and I are being the women from Oz.

Most likely one of the gangsters from Chaperone.
Such a hard choice for me this year. I was Phantom last year. Walter Hartright or Percival Glyde maybe this year. But costumes for them are hard to find. I don't know!
Did a male version of elphaba last year, dont know why, just thought the idea of painting myself flourescent green would be kinda cool (ofcourse no one here knows anything about wicked so i didnt care) was cool that the paint glowed everytime i passed under a black light at the club, got some strange looks on the street too, but thats all the fun of Halloween
did phantom years ago, was too hot, jacket, blazer, long sleeve shirt and bowtie, too much.
staying away from broadway themes this year though.
For the first time ever, I will be Elphie
Miss P's daughter will be the Drowsy Chaperone herself.
I am going to be an obsessed broadway fan for Halloween.
Broadway themed costumes only work if you are going to a party with Theatre Majors or your theatre friends. Otherwise you look like an idiot.

Now that cannot be beat!

As opposed to the guy I saw last year dressed as a stapler. Or the guy who was dressed as Steve Irwin and was chasing cops with a stuffed alligator.
Looking stupid is the whole point of Halloween! I love dressing as stuff that very few people get, because then if someone recognizes it and says something, I've made a new friend.
Last year I was Maureen from RENT. Complete with cowbell. At the end of the night, I did a whole performance of Over the Moon with my friend doing the background vocals. (She was dressed as a French maid.)
I'm Angel (a girl cross-dressing as a guy cross-dressing as a girl... wow) and my friend's going as mimi
and since i have the wig already i may go as millie next year
yero - my friend and i did the over the moon thing... people got frightened.
In recent years I have been Ophelia, The Lady of the Lake, and Velma Kelly. This year was a close run between revival Mrs. Lovett and Sally Bowles. I opted for non-Broadway; I will be Twister
I suggested to my husband he go as Luther from South Pacific - dressed as a woman (the USO number). I think it would be pretty easy to do, people might recognize it. Great for a couple too. The woman can go in the sailor outfit.
Of course, he shot the idea down.
i really wanna just dress up in Mimi's 'out tonight' outfit =). from the stage version. lol.

I'm going as Julia Murney at the Wicked Stagedoor. My friends are going to be my screaming, sobbing fangirls.
Of course, I'll just be telling people I'm a girl with green roots

I've almost fully completed my REVIVAL LOVETT costume, i've got pictures up at the Sweeney Todd livejournal community, though I'll post a link to my apron here:
