Best finds at the Flea Market?

Sep 26, 2010 — 8:59:47 PM

I was also one of the first 75 people to donate to/enter the scavenger hunt so I won a Broadway Flea Market Tee. How was the scavenger hunt? Like, I'd heard that you had to pay to enter it. Yeah you had to "donate" five dollars and complete 10 things on the list to get 5 chances to win something, I don't remember what it was. And most of the things on the list were things you had to purchase, like two broadway green allience totes, or a playbill with a broadway diva on the cover. There were a...

re: The Daryl Eisenberg Twitter Thread

Aug 13, 2009 — 5:38:57 PM

I've been on the fence about the whole issue, but after reading the backstage article, I'm appalled. She seems to feel no remorse for her actions. She even said she'd continue to tweet about auditions and is blaming the people in opposition of her behavior for not understanding how twitter works. I believe that if she really had no intention of being hurtful she would come right out and blatantly apologize and admit her mistake. I haven't seen that happen.

re: What Times Square Area Buildings Use To Be Theaters?

I have a playbill from the Liberty Theatre when it played The Spring Maid starring Christie MacDonald. It says that Klaw and Erlanger were the managers of the theatre. Is this the same Klaw that the Klaw Theatre was named after?

re: 'Perfect for US': The NEXT TO NORMAL love thread!

I just saw Next to Normal for the first time and I don't think I've cryed so much at a show before. It really hit close to home for me. I was a wreck the entire time, but I loved it. I rushed it today and I got there at about 8:50 and was the 23rd person in line. I got box seats which were perfect. I had no trouble seeing the stage, except a couple of times when people made entrances far stage right.

That opening. sheesh. Did anyone else hear the chattering in the background? I did enjoy the Hair segment of the opening.

My friend got a callback for Kim. She's in college and lives in the city. I think she's going back mid-April.

re: Juilliard Outfit

Jan 26, 2009 — 6:01:12 PM

I auditioned for Juilliard on Saturday. Some guys were dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, others wore a suit. Some wore khakis, some wore jeans and button down shirts. I'm a girl but I wore nice black pants, and a shirt with a little sweater over it. Just wear whatever you'd feel comfortable doing the warm up in.
