I agree. They all look great. I just don't see Miranda Richarson as Madame Giry. I think Donna Murphy would be PERFECT as the role in the movie.

Ive got a few questions about POTO in general:
1.) DO you think the costumes and actors will look very much like the stage version, or will schumaker, with a young hunk like gerard butler, try to make the phantom hip and rockstarish (ie-long hair, tattered tux, whatever)
2.) Is the film ALW's way of having the stage POTO go out with a bang, or is he hoping this will increase interest in it once more?
3.) When the show finaly does leave broadway, what type of big event do you think they'll have? Will crawrford come back to play the role one last time?
any thoughts are appreciated.

I hope they keep this movie more like the show- like the costumes and everything the same.

When it does go off and they want to bring someone back- I would love to see Michael Crawford in it!! Now I know what you guys are going to say... hes to old- but after seeing him in Dance of the Vampires, I think he can still play the Phantom.

I think a good idea to promote the show when it's going to close would be to put the movie stars in the show, or those of them who could handle it. They're bound to become stars, so the show would sell a lot of tickets.

Wow. Aren't we a little hostile. There are many performers I presonally don't like, but I would never say they deserve to be shot or that they blow. That was just not necessary. Period.
