Did anyone see it? I thought it was cute, Minnie cracked me up.
Has anyone seen gotten any of Bloomingdale's clothes inspired by Phantom. Are they available in all Bloomingdales or only the one in NYC?

I love Emmy, but I just wanted to yell at her when she used the phrase "Andrew Lloyd Webber, the godfather of musical theatre"
Made me want to vomit.
The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

PRIEST!!! I totally thought of you and how disgusted you would be after she said that.
I was like, "ALW is NOT the godfathernof musical theatre...Priest knows..."

I'm sure she would be hard pressed NOT to like it. I wouldn't be surprised if she were an investor. Years ago when the musical opened on B'way there was a flap about it being featured on her show 20/20 when she was an investor in it.

ALW looked really nervous when he was interviewed, his hands were shaking.

Posted: 12/24/04 at 2:06pmShe was dubbed during the movie, but the song during the credits "Learn to be Lonely" is actually her singing.

Posted: 12/24/04 at 2:08pmFor the record, ALW ponied up the money for the movie himself. There aren't any investors.
#13re: POTO on The View
Posted: 12/24/04 at 2:10pmThere were some. ALW put in $6 million of his own money. He had to go to different movie companies around the world to raise the rest. I respect him for doing this.

Gr8 Coverage. So glad they did it. Was it just me or was Barbara gushing over ALW? They seemed like old friends or something. Still it was good to see him on TV. That was the first interview I've seen him do for AM tv.
The cast looked like they had a good time making the film. Can't wait to see it. Minnie Driver was toooooooooooo funny sitting on the couch. Especially loved her reaction to Gerard dancing with the cape. lol.
Anyone know what her next project is? Would love to see her do something on Broadway.

I saw it this morning too! The entire cast was adorable. Gerry's cape-swooshing really cracked me up though! Don't get me wrong...I think he looks good in a cape! LOL!

Andrew Lloyd-Webber is pretty notoriosly shy. I've never seen him comfortable in an interview or major public situation. But that's actually kind of cute.
Priest, I'm glad she called him the godfather. That means he's just sort of the friend of the family of musical theatre patriarchs. And he's in charge of their kids if they die.

Yes...Patrick did the full "Full Monty"... I loved how they teased him about it--and how the audience cheered for him to demonstrate his moves.
I really enjoyed seeing everyone on The View but I hate how disorganized the interviewing is. It seems like they have no sense of direction. Just different hosts popping up and asking random things. Good for those with ADHD I guess...

Posted: 12/24/04 at 8:56pmI read somewhere else that ALW said something about Michael Crawford coming to NY with Woman in White. Did anyone who watched the show hear anything about that. There has been no official word that I know of.

First question about Bloomies clothing I saw them at the NYC store and they are nice if you are small and young:) I do not know if they are available in any other stores, but probably the catalogue.
Andrew is very shy. When I met him he was nice, but I was warned he did not want photos taken (Warner Bros. let me take photos at the after party) and they were surprised he talked with me. Guess it is the Grandmother look that got me the chat:) I also was surprised when Andrew signed autographs for Gerry's fans at the NYC premiere. That is really something he does not usually do unless you meet him in the theatre.
"Woman in White" I heard that MC told his fan club, but from all I have heard it is true he is coming to NYC for the show. I have been trying to figure a way to get to NYC for it:) He won an award in London and he has gotten priase for his work in the show so I am sure they want him as he does a good job from what I have heard.
Yours,
Carolyn
