PREVIEWS OPENING ON A MONDAY????#0
Posted: 10/17/04 at 2:31amI understand that Good Vibrations' previews open on Monday, December 20th. This is so surprising since Broadway is dark on Mondays. Can anyone explain this?

I don't think it's that weird for previews. I saw a preview of Brooklyn on a Monday. I'm pretty sure that once a show opens it is dark on Mondays, however.
EDIT: Ah, pab got there before me.

It might be a good idea for the previews to run on a day when a lot of other shows are dark. It may help attract more theatergoers into the show if they are not interested in seeing anything else playing that night, but are in the "I Want to Go See a Show" mood.
Phantom of the Opera is also a Monday night show.
