Pal Joey

Posted: 11/8/08 at 8:33amHi, first time posting here. I've enjoyed reading all your insights for a few months now. You've given hubby and I lots of tips on shows! We travel to NY from Florida twice a year for about a week just to see shows. It's our "empty nest" treat to ourselves. My question to yall is...we're coming back in April and I was wondering if anyone has heard news that Pal Joey may extend its run? It looks like a great show to see! We're already planning to see West Side Story and Billy Elliot, and we're waiting anxiously for Blithe Spirit tickets to go on sale. I'm fascinated reading how much casting detail, etc., that members of this message board know! You sound like a great, knowledgeable theater group, so thanks for letting me ask a question!

I will be traveling from Florida to NYC in April also and have wondered the same thing. It really depends on 1) reviews and 2) demand.
Keep reading this board for further updates!

If it does extend, it would only be for a couple weeks. WAITING FOR GODOT is set to begin performances on April 10th, and I'm betting Roundabout wants it to open in time for Tony eligibility. They bumped DANCIN' back to next season in order to get GODOT in.
I would not count on PAL JOEY running in April, unless it transfers to a commercial theater, but that is not very likely.
