Paper Mill Playhouse- budgets for musicals

Saw My Own British Invasion last Saturday night. Obviously the show is hoping to do a transfer in the future to Broadway..

all this begs the question

what is the budget of a new musical of this type

Paper Mill is not for profit

the average show runs for only 5-6 weeks and various sponsors help to underwrite some production costs.

There’s no real average, but often shows that premiere at NFP theatres that are aiming for broadway will be “enhanced” by commercial producers

I believe Paper Mill is receiving enhancement money for this particular production (it is produced by Hal Luftig and Craig Haffner)...though I have no clue what the “average” budget may be.
