Have ticket prices at Paper Mill always been so expensive? I've only been once a few years ago and don't feel like I paid that much, but the cheapest tickets I could find are $70 for Half Time.

They tend to be pricey. Honeymooners & Sting both had some tickets in the $40 range.
Looks like the cheapest for Half Time is $39. Some dates might be sold out of those though.

They used to be more affordable, I remember being able to get tickets off Groupon and TDF but for some reason any and all discounts have slowly disappeared. Groupon especially had great deals, I paid around $35 a ticket for Forum, Millie, and OOTI and they were all pretty decent orchestra seats. The last thing I saw there was Hunchback and my ticket was last row orchestra for $90 and that may have had a discount applied since my friend did Oliver there and was able to get us something.

The cheapest way to go to Papermill is as a subscriber, so I would suggest the 4-5 show package which makes the shows much more reasonable. If you're not in the area and can't do the package expect to be spending Broadway-ish prices. Its really a shame it got so expensive.

Papermill has gotten very expensive and even as a subscriber it’s not that reasonable.  My beef with them is as a subscriber, they don’t honor the exchange they highly market when it comes to a sold out show like The Sting.  Even when trying to exchange a weekend show for a weeknight show, they had no options.  Gave the tix to a friend but their only advice to me was wait for a cancellation that night.  This wasn’t Hamilton, so they should be able to offer even a lesser seat or standing room I think.  No more subscriptions for me.  It ends up costing more in the long run.

Their ticket prices are very high. I paid over $100 for the cheapest seat when I saw The Bodyguard there.

I just bought Halftime last night for $39.  Rear orch to the side, best deal but that price is only for Wednesday and Thursday, and the matinees go fast.  I had a similar seat for The Sting and was unable to attend but I was able to get a single up front center for $119 day of the show last week.  Subscriptions don't work for me, sometimes I go with a group, as a couple, or if  schedule does not jive and I really want to see the show (just about always do) I go alone.
