I am a newbie to SR and partial view. I am from NJ and refuse to stand in line at 7am for a matinee or evening show. Somewhere on this board someone mentioned getting partial view tickets. How does one do this? Can I buy 2 or 3 tickets for partial view? I'd appreciate any / all info. Thanks.

I arrived yesterday (Sunday) at 7am and there were already seven people there buying two tickets each, so 14 tickets were gone. Within a half hour, four others joined the line.

I asked about partial view the previous day at the BO and they told me this:

They do not sell those tickets until they are sold out. She said to check back between 1:15 and 1:30 to see if they were sold out yet. If they were, she would sell tickets for $36 (?) each. If not, I'd have to stick around the BO until all seats were gone.

Also, 30 mins prior to showtime for the matinee on Saturday, LEGALLY BLONDE popped up on TKTS.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Thanks Andrew for the info. I am assuming you live in NYC.
I live in NJ and it ain't easy to be running back & forth into NYC esp. with train delays. I guess I will pay the $66 I can purchase on BroadwayBox.com, less hassle. I wanted to take my son's girlfriend to see this play. She is a student at Rutgers.
She is 20 and never been to a play so for Christmas I treated her and my son to see Beauty & the Beast. She is hooked. Now she is taking my son this Friday to see Les Miz.
Oh well. Always looking to try and save a few dollars but I refuse to stand in line all day for student rush tickets, esp. since I don't live in NYC. What would I do all day? I would be beat esp. since I am recovering from surgery.

Capn, were these people in line for the matinee performance? I'm planning on going this Sunday and my friend and I are trying to rush to the 7:00 performance and we were wondering if we'd be okay since the earliest time we can get there is probably 9:00am.
