Please post wonderful memories about Patrick Quinn.
The last three years he and I used to spend sometime joking and whenever I was stressed out, he used to make it better.
I miss you, Patrick!

I saw Patrick perform several times, the first as Carl Magnus in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at Equity Library Theatre. He was hilarious in the part - he really captured all of the ridiculous traits of the character without making him a cartoon. I was also in the house the day he went on for Jerry Lewis in DAMN YANKEES at the very last minute - the curtain was held for him to get there and get ready. He was brilliant - and got a well deserved standing ovation. A wonderful performer.

Patrick's memorial today at the St. James was wonderful. Clips from most of his shows, commercials and tv work. Brian Stokes Mitchell singing "The Impossible Dream" and performances by Ann Harada and Rebecca Luker as well. A touching afternoon and a wonderful man.
RIP Patrick.

Had the pleasure of seeing Patrick in Walnut Street Theater's production of Annie. He was the best (and sexiest) Daddy Warbucks in a looooong time. Also had the pleasure of his company after the show where I got to rub his shiny bald head!( in public,of course). A most congenial character.
He had a lot of support and people who loved him. R.I.P.

Posted: 4/19/07 at 6:58pmI knew Patrick well. He and I were dear friends having met in the early 90's when I was trying to make a go of it as an actor in New York. Many an hour we would spend talking about the theater at his lakehouse in the Poconos. I left New York and the theater, but kept in touch with Patrick who was so supportive of, so instrumental in my decision to leave. He loved the theater but was not one to be sentimental about it. He was a realist. He helped me see my way to another career. We saw each other about once a year after that, the last time being in NYC in November of '05. We kept in touch mostly by emails. He was a brilliant, funny and passionate man. His contribution to the union, his devotion to his family and his dedication to the arts were wonderful. I found out he had died weeks after getting an email in which he told me about his new plans to be the Director of Equity. I still can't quite believe it. I will miss him. A man able to maintain innocence in the sometimes brutal business of theater. A truly great man.
