I am unable to go and am looking to sell the ticket. Anyone interested please let me know.

Thanks!

I wish I could keep my ticket, but this was the only week I had available to go to New York to see fall shows. So - Patti and Seth... OR... new John Kander, William Finn, Jason Robert Brown, Jeanine Tesori and Andrew Lippa musicals? New musicals won.

But it would be fun to get to know the Los Angeles and Southern California BW forum members for future meet-ups.

Oh good. I'm going to the 5pm show. But I'm worried she might do some different numbers at the 8pm show, so maybe I should go see that too.

OMG you guys this is tomorrow! I can't wait! It's been far too long since I've heard Patti sing live. I'm in the front row, BABY!

FANtastic show! Patti and Seth were aMAHzing!

She sang (in no order):

Everything's Comin Up Roses
I Dreamed a Dream
Sleepy Man
My Way
Anything Goes
Ladies Who Lunch
Meadowlark
Buenos Aires
Ya Got Trouble

No Rainbow High or song from Sunset but that's ok. I had a great time, and she and Seth were witty and engaging in the interview segments.

I hope they come back sometime.

She didn't sing "Argentina"? Isn't that her signature song? How did she sound on Buenos Aires? Did she belt the " And if ever I go to far" and the "And if I need a moments rest"?
So Lauren Bacall me, anything goes! *wink*

She did not sing Argentina. I was surprised, though they were working under a time constraint. There was a 8 o'clock show and they had to clear out. I suspect if that wasn't the case she would have done a second and final encore.

Buenos Aires sounded great. She belted in all the proper spots. She was in fine voice, though she actually seemed insecure. After Anything Goes she said "Did that sound ok? I'm worried that didn't sound good."

I can't believe nobody's posted about the 2nd show yet!

I'm not great at remembering these sorts of things, but I'll give it a try.

She did sing from SUNSET (With One Look) and from EVITA (Don't Cry for Me Argentina, Rainbow High, and Buenos Aires.)

I can also remember:

Being Alive
We've Got Trouble
As Long as He Needs Me
Some People
Invisible
I Get a Kick Out of You

I know she sang a couple more, but they're just not coming to me.

If I remember, I'll let you know.

That's great to hear. I'm so amazed that after all those years, patti can still belt out those songs like a champ. She has always been very grounded and honest about herself and other people. What a great icon.
So Lauren Bacall me, anything goes! *wink*

OMG, the second show was amazing. Patti seemed so sweet and wholesome. I can't believe she practically invited the entire audience onstage with her to sing back up for Rainbow High. I almost went onstage but I was way too nervous.

I loved the impromptu nature of the show. There was a definite connection to the audience. The singing got stronger as the show progressed. Compared to Patti's show, Bernadette's concert felt cold as it was too scripted down to the spiels. It was a good night to be able to hear both divas sing "Ladies Who Lunch"

Oy. Sounds like I should have gone to the 8pm show! No matter, it was an amazing experience. I was in the first row and several times Patti looked at me directly while she was singing. I nearly melted.

The thing that really came across is that Patti is very emotional. With all of the positive and negative that comes with that. She is quite warm and appreciative, and she FEELS the lyrics- she started crying as soon as she heard the start of I Dreamed A Dream. Though also, she takes any perceived slight very personally (I guess we already knew that) and seems bitter about much of her Broadway experiences. We got to see a teeny tiny diva fit when her water glass was not filled.

I Effing LOVE this woman. She is a genius in her chosen field. And she works HARD. And best of all, she RESPECTS her audience.

I hope she comes back to Los Angeles soon.

She opened the second show with DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE.

I absolutely loved it. It was a fantastic evening. Seth and Patti did not disappoint. And they compliment each other very well. The show went 30 minutes over! We had her for a full two hours.
