A question to those who know about history: I know that Penny in my pocket used to close act 1 from HD before they changed the finale to Parade to spotlight Dolly...in the current revival ( from what I heard on a bootleged recording ) the song opens act 2. Is the dialogue that precedes the song the same one originally written to go before the song? It's such a great song!! I'm glad it's back! What do you all think of it?
